This is my first year teaching at Joyful Mission Preschool. I will be teaching the 2 1/2 & 3 year old class on Tuesday/ Thursday. I am a certified teacher and taught first, second , and third grade for 8 years before I started my family and stayed home to raise my children. I have three young boys, Noah, Cameron, and Owen. They are the joys of my life and keep me really busy! Noah found his passion with taekwondo, Cameron is trying out for baseball and soccer, and Owen has fun playing superheros and running around after his older brothers. When I am not chasing around my boys I love to read and relax at home with my family. My husbands name is Scott and we were married in 2001. He is a wonderful husband and father and we are lucky to have found each other. I am looking forward to teaching little ones again and feel so blessed to be a part of the Joy family!

My name is Monica Trap. I will be teaching Pre-K in the red room on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings with Caitlin Nelson. I was born and raised in Cortez Colorado. My family and I moved to Parker Colorado in 2003. My husband is originally from Michigan. My husband, Eric, enjoys climbing 14ers, and running half marathons. I have two children. Dillon, age 17, is a senior at Legend High School. Dillon participates in football, wrestling,  and texting. Tara, age 10, is in 5th grade at Iron Horse Elementary. Tara enjoys dance and horseback riding. We all enjoy being outdoors. My family participates in the Boulder Bolder together. We enjoy boating, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, hanging out on the beach, and many other outdoor activities. I enjoy going to the gym, watching my children’s activities, hanging out with friends, knitting, cross stitch, reading, sudoku puzzles, and teaching preschool. I have been teaching preschool since 2003.

Hello, my name is Monique Refior and I am a  Pre- K teacher here at Joyful Mission Preschool.  I have taught at Joyful Mission since 2005.  I have been in early childhood education for over 20 years.  For years, I was in the office world, but decided to come back to teaching.  I find teaching to be so rewarding and every day is a new adventure and lots of laughter!Keith and I have two beautiful daughters, Ashley who is a senior at University of Northern Colorado and Madison who is in eighth grade this year and our two Bichons-Kennedy and Harley.  We live near Cherry Creek Reservoir and I am a Colorado native—one of the last few. Besides teaching, I love to stamp and scrapbook, garden and go to car shows.

I look forward to meeting you and your child and having another blessed year at Joyful Mission Preschool!

Welcome to Joyful Mission Preschool! I am excited to meet and get to know all of your wonderful children this year. I live in Parker with my husband and two wonderful children. My husband and I have been married since 1990. Our children, Amanda and Will keep us very busy with their dance and baseball schedules!

I started working at Joyful Mission in 2003. I have a BA in Behavioral Science, a minor in Elementary Education and an Early Childhood endorsement. Even though I have been doing this for a while, I always learn something new each year…from the children :) I can’t wait to see what the children teach me this year!

Hi everyone, my name is Cyndee Carlson. I have been a part of this school for several years in various capacities and most recently the past few years in Junior K. My husband and I are the proud parents of 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Our oldest daughter, Alyssa, is married to Jon and they have 5 girls. The newest little girl was born on August 7th. Our son, Brenden, lives in Littleton with his wife Allison and 2 sons. Our youngest daughter, Emily, graduated for UCCS in May and lives in Colorado Springs.

It is a joy to be involved in your children’s learning. Thank you in advance for your support as parents. I look forward to meeting all of you.
