CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is designed to provide a balance between developmentally appropriate practice and academic readiness skills. The children are given a variety of experiences in making choices, problem solving, role playing, and environmental exploration. These are completed through a wide range of
activities including: music and movement, arts and crafts , learning centers, and free play.
Our three year old classes use the Building Language for Literacy curriculum from Scholastic. Building Language for Literacy is a thematic based early literacy program that equips young children with the critical language and literacy skills and experiences they need to build the foundation for success in
reading. Click here to visit the website.
The goal of our Pre-Kindergarten and Jr. Kindergarten programs is kindergarten readiness. Our teachers use the Core Knowledge Sequence, Level II. They work on building skills in movement and coordination, language, mathematical reasoning and number sense, orientation in time, scientific reasoning,
music and art, as well as autonomy, social skills and work habits. Click here to visit the website.
Teachers also use the Handwriting without Tears Curriculum which uses hands-on, educationally sound instructional methods to teach handwriting. Click here to visit the website.
